Numerous external factors act on and affect the PSGA and how it functions. For transperency’s sake, we’ve provided some of the documents that affect the PSGA and Purchase College each and every day.
SUNY Board of Trustees Policy
The SUNY Board of Trustees Policy is the overarching document of the entire SUNY system, and establishes how all SUNY schools operate. It also establishes the SUNY Student Assembly, which acts as a “United Nations” of SUNY student governments, including the PSGA.
PROCEDURES FOR FORMING AND CHANGING NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATIONS IN NEW YORK STATE
The Procedure for Forming and Changing Not-For-Profit Corporations in New York State. is a guide on how to be incorporated as a 501(c)3 organization, that is, one that doesn’t have to pay taxes and works for the public good. The PSGA is an incorporated non-profit, and must adhere to these guidelines.
